OK — been on this thing for something like five months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d write something up since someone asked me last week. Am based in the UK, generally bet football and racing, small stakes, so take it how you like.

How I found it was genuinely pretty stupid — I never could work out what an each way return actually was once you get five places instead of three. I’d just guess and get a shock. These days I type the odds in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator is the one I open most — type in your stake, the odds and you get returns with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, and that’s where I always lose track. Have a go yourself, it’s here work out patent bet and it’s free with no account nonsense.

One thing that actually changed how I bet was the geekier extras. There’s an implied probability converter which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly tool — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit when I’m covering two or three runners.

Not all sunshine though. Its design looks very functional, let’s say — no frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On mobile it works though the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s no proper app, just the site — fine by me but you asked.

Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If anyone honestly does the maths on paper, try it — it’s saved me a fair few arguments with the bookie.

OK — been using this thing for something like five months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d say something since a mate asked me last week. I’m UK based, mainly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, for context.

How I found it was genuinely pretty stupid — I could never get my head round what an ew return actually was once you get five places instead of three. I used to just wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now I type the odds in first, every time, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator is the part I use most — type in the price and your stake and you get returns instantly, either odds format. Same tool covers the multiples — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, and that’s where I always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it lives at oddsmatching — free, no signup.

One thing that genuinely made a difference is the nerdier extras. The odds-to-probability thing and it makes obvious the overround, and a kelly criterion calculator — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is terrifying. Dutching calculator is handy too when I’m splitting a race.

Couple of gripes. Its layout looks a bit basic — zero frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s usable although the acca grid are a squeeze. Also there’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame just flagging it.

So yeah. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does the job. If anyone even now does the maths on paper, give it a go — it’s saved me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.

Right — been on this thing for about four months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me the other day. Am UK based, generally bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.

How I found it was genuinely pretty stupid — I never could work out what an ew payout actually was when the place terms changed. I’d just wing it and then be surprised. Now I type the odds in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator tool is the one I use most — type in your stake, the odds and it spits out profit and total return with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the fiddly ones — trebles maths, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, and that’s where I always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it’s here lucky 15 bet and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

What really shifted things for me were the nerdier tools. The odds-to-probability converter and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutching one is handy too when I’m splitting a race.

Couple of gripes. The layout is pretty plain — zero frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it works but the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s nothing on the app store, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.

So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, works. Anyone who honestly adds it up in their head, try it — it’s saved me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.

So — been on this thing for maybe six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. Am based in the UK, mainly do football and horses, nothing mad, for context.

What got me on it was actually pretty stupid — I could never get my head round what an e/w return actually came to when the place terms changed. Basically I’d eyeball it and then be surprised. Now type the odds in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator is the one I use most — type in stake and odds and you get returns with no faffing, fractions or decimals. There’s also the multiples — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, and that’s where I always mess it up. If you want a look, it lives at match betting calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

What genuinely changed how I bet were the more serious tools. There’s an probability calculator which shows you the overround, and there’s the kelly tool — I use half kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutching one gets used a fair bit when I’m splitting a race.

It’s not perfect mind. Its design is very functional, let’s say — not much flash, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it’s fine but the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. And no proper app, it’s browser only — slight shame just flagging it.

Anyway. Free, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If you even now does the maths on paper, try it — it’s saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
